South Boston

Referred to as “Southie” by residents, this large and diverse neighborhood boasts miles of beaches and waterfront parks that culminate in Castle Island with it’s historic Revolutionary era fort. Located south and east of the Fort Point Channel and abutting Dorchester Bay it is one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in the United States. South Boston contains Dorchester Heights, where George Washington forced British troops to evacuate during the American Revolutionary War. Buyers looking to purchase real estate in this neighborhood often have a multitude of options available, from single family homes, to small boutique condominiums to larger luxury buildings.

South Boston is a diverse neighborhood with a strong Irish heritage. It is known for triple-decker homes and row houses, but there are many single family homes in the neighborhood as well.
